REQUIRED PRE-REQUISITE FOR THIS WORKSHOP: INTERVIEW 1: ELEVATOR SPEECH
Interview 2: Interviewing Skills
This four-hour workshop provides participants with basic information and guidelines to help them prepare for interviews. A critical part of the experience is the opportunity to compose and practice interview responses aloud—and to receive immediate feedback in a safe setting.
If you cannot make your scheduled appointment, PLEASE cancel/reschedule yourself. This is a high demand workshop and registrations are strictly limited to achieve the best experience for all participants. We have both a minimum and a maximum enrollment.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Understand key principles for preparing for interviews
- Be able to write and practice delivering an introductory “elevator speech” often used in networking
- Understand and use the “SAR” model to prepare responses to many interview questions
- Be able to write and practice delivering responses to several typical interview questions, including: “Tell me about a significant accomplishment” and “Tell me about yourself,” as well as at least one other “tough question” of their own choosing.
Seats are limited and registration is required. Log into the CareerPlace™ website and click on “make an appointment.” Follow the instructions online.
This session will be facilitated by Gene Flynn.
